It's been a busy week with illness in the house (both daughters & hubby have been fighting off the viral upper respiratory crud) which now seems to be working on me. I plan to call the doctor as soon as his office opens for an after-lunch appointment so I don't have to cancel any work-related obligations. (So far I seem only to have a head cold which is heading in the direction of a bacterial something or other I'd prefer not to risk having become bronchitis!)
On the plus side I've invested some time in crafting a cheat sheet for the day job that'll help me keep up with all the contacts I need to make with all the various service providers & other relevant folks. I've also been building in some down time in my weekly schedule so I can get paperwork & data entry done without stressing at the last moment. I'm also working to schedule time to work out--I've pretty much adopted the habit of hitting the Y while my youngest is at her Girl Scout meetings, but I need to get better about doing so the rest of the week AND walking the dogs every night. Hopefully when our temperatures moderate as they're forecast to do this weekend, it'll be the last I'll see of lows in the teens for a good long while.
This weekend's itinerary includes hubby & older daughter hitting the slopes for the weekend (out of state, obviously!), & an entire weekend of Q-time with my youngest! Already we're planning to bake cookies for a bridal shower we're attending tomorrow, in addition to shopping for the shower gift (which I may do independently of her just to get it over with early). She also wants to hit Staples for some stickers for her school notebooks, so we'll probably do that after we get the older sister off on her trip. I also plan to make some time for some literary pursuits this weekend--like writing an epic! (No "dark & stormy nights" here!)
